Science fiction lays the groundwork for continued innovation in real society.

The inspiration for much of science fiction comes from classical mythology.

 There are more than 36 subgenres of science fiction

 It differs from the fantasy genre by the scientific support of its contents, which are based on the creation 

of possible worlds

It's interesting to see how things that seemed like "science fiction" are now a reality
